This renovation of a 10,000sf masonry and timber frame, industrial building transformed a towing company into 5 bays of offices and 1 bay of warehouse space. Work included major seismic and building envelope upgrades along with extensive interior improvements, integrating the original masonry and wood structures. The renovated building has two distinct facades. The west façade fronts the public street and has a series of new storefront entrances to tenant spaces. The east façade features the client’s principal entry and a garden which showcases the client’s work in a landscaped setting. The original roofline was raised at the ends of the central bays of the building to allow for new loft spaces with mountain views. The raised roof is extended on the west side to give prominence and protection to the client entry and garden.
