The concept for this 3900 SF office build-out inverts the conventional high rise office layout of perimeter private offices surround-ing ‘landlocked’ open space. Instead, a row of private offices is pulled away from the building perimeter providing flexible workspaces, a conference room and library ample access to light and views. The private offices receive borrowed daylight and views through a full height DIRTT storefront system. Large sliding doors encourage interaction, while ‘Walltalker’ panels covering the entirety of one wall in each office encourage team thinking by literally writing on the wall. A desire for the space to convey honesty, integrity and transparency promoted a clean and minimal finish palate. The existing concrete ceiling and floor are exposed in the open areas as are new mechanical, lighting and electrical systems. The painted sheetrock ‘blocks’ within the space contrast with the clear anodized aluminum storefront, fir casework and narrow reed glass panels.
